Hey there, I ordered a navy-blue Storm Shield Jacket Size M and got exactly the right one. It feels soft and comfortable on the skin. It fits perfectly for my preferences - which is Cross Country Skiing these weeks - we have massive snow in Innsbruck/Tirol and so I extend my running season with the Storm Shield. Ideal for temperatures around 0 degree celsius in winter conditions. I wear it just with a short sleeve shirt below. The jacket is an eye-catcher on the tracks, which are dominated by traditional, parrot-like designed cross country suits :-> Only delivering time was not so good - Royal Mail and Österr. Post AG delivered pretty quickly (2-3 days), but customs in Vienna rested their bones for 17 days :-
Ideal wet weather jacket.
First things first, see when the people who make the jersey recommend sizing up, probably worth listening to them.
I normally wear a medium in Band of Climbers so went with medium, it still fits and is actually very comfortable but it's a little more "race fit" than they intended going by the adverts. That's not a negative review, it's right their in the page. I just didn't read it.
The jersey itself is a fantastic jersey. Bright colours (I went orange, when the sun hits it genuinely glows gold). Looks great on, wonderfully warm and keeps the elements out. If I was being pedantic I would say it's missing a couple of nice touches it's predecessor has, sleeves are slightly shorter, the additional "mudguard" at the rear, but I would have to still rate it 5 out of 5 and have already recommended it to many friends.
Awesome winter top. I've been out around 0C with a base layer beneath and it's perfect. Water and wind proof. Totally opened up winter rides for me :)
True to size on the chart. I'm rarely a large but for 40" chest it's right.
Wore this jacket for the first time today in 6 degrees, breezy weather. It is completely wind proof and has a good degree of thermal property without me sweating up. Comfortable jacket with spacious packets. I wore a thermal base layer underneath. I sized up and bought a large as the medium was too tight.
This is an amazing jersey for cold weather riding!
